Open information sessions with the Open Training College

An information event where you can explore the adult education opportunities that are available to staff and managers working, or currently seeking work, in the non-profit/human services sector.

  • What are the expected qualifications for someone working in the non-profit/human services sector today?

  • Are Continuous Professional Development (CPD) modules available to the sector, and can past-pupils update their qualifications with newly developed accredited CPD  modules?

  • What are the choices open to you regarding blended learning? What is it exactly?

  • What options are available to you in your region?

Please feel free to come along and enjoy some discussions around the current options open in your area regarding accredited Applied Social Studies and Applied Management courses, and accredited CPD modules.

The Open Training College is a division of St. Michael’s House established in 1992.

OLC Ireland Trust Fund

Irish Charities Tax Research Group: Questionnaire

Irish Charities Tax Research Group (ICTR) has developed Guiding Principles for Fundraising in conjunction with government with the aim of enhancing public confidence in fundraising practice. Effectiveness will be assessed by the levels of awareness and compliance among fund raising bodies which is measured through regular surveys.

Fundraising organisations are invited to take part in this 10 minute survey.

Seminar on Social Enterprise

Catch-up with Social Enterprise – All you need to know about this area of growing importance to local government.

Date: Tuesday 15th May 2012

Venue: Wood Quay Venue, Dublin City Council Civic Offices, Wood Quay, Dublin 8

“Social Enterprise has the potential to provide 65,000 jobs and account for 5% of GDP” according to the report “Adding Value Delivering Change  – The Role of Social Enterprise in National Recovery (2010),” published by the multi-agency, Social Enterprise Task Force.
The seminar is to update the following on social enterprise developments: senior stakeholders in Local Authorities, County Development Boards, Enterprise Boards, Local Partnerships and Leader Action Groups It will also inform those responsible for community and enterprise development of best practice in Ireland and abroad.
